Premier Mitsubishi EDM Shop New Jersey Precision Technologies Featured in Latest Issue of EDM Today Magazine
New Jersey Precision Technologies (NJPT), one of the largest EDM machining shops in the Northeast, is featured in the new Winter issue of EDM Today Magazine. Founder and President Bob Tarantino is on the cover with one of his more than 40 Mitsubishi wire and sinker EDMs.
The Mountainside, N.J. company launched in 1989 with one wire EDM, which was in use until just a few months ago.
“I just retired the first Mitsubishi EDM I ever purchased last year after more than 30 years of continuous service,” said Tarantino. “The machine was a legend in our company and was still running on the day it was retired, when we had to make room for a new machine.”
Tarantino attributes NJPT’s long-term success to factors including the standardization of equipment and processes, such as using compatible machines that require the same operator training, and the addition of the latest generation of Mitsubishi EDMs, which is opening up new markets with its increased speed, ease of use, low maintenance needs and superior accuracy.
