MC Machinery recently partnered with the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) to provide Mitsubishi wire and sinker EDMs for the association’s new hands-on EDM training program in Schaumburg, Ill.
TMA students pursuing training in mold making and tool/die making will be able to use a new Mitsubishi M1200S wire EDM and a new Mitsubishi SG8 sinker EDM.
“We are proud to support the TMA and the manufacturing industry by participating in this important partnership,” said MC Machinery Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Bill Isaac. “Because Mitsubishi wire and sinker EDMs are very user friendly, they are the perfect machines for training TMA students.”
TMA President Patrick Osborne said that adding EDM machine skills to available training is very valuable, particularly as the demand for a wide variety of manufacturing skills continues to grow due to reshoring, ongoing worker shortages and other factors.
“Our goal at TMA is to keep on the industry’s edge to attract the next generation into fields that are appealing and challenging, and that are needed to make medical, technological, aerospace, and other industrial products in a way that keeps America in the lead globally,” Osborne said.
MC Machinery offers operational training with wire and sinker EDM installation as well as wire EDM training and sinker EDM training at its Chicago-area headquarters and multiple regional technology centers.
